The top 14 students based on points earned, from the 6 tournaments, will be invited to participate in the final tournament. If there is a tie at #14, all participants at #14 will make the final tournament. Students earn points in each tournament based on the following criteria:
1. Finishing points are awarded based on how you finish in each tournament
1st place = 100 points
2nd place = 70 points
3rd place = 50 points
4th place = 30 points
5th place = 15 points
6th place = 15 points
7th place = 15 points
8th - last place = 7 points
2. Bonus points are also given based on the number of events played
Compete in 2 tournaments = 2 points
Compete in 3 tournaments = 4 points
Compete in 4 tournaments = 6 points
Compete in 5 tournaments = 8 points
Compete in all 6 tournaments = 10 points
3. Total points = Bonus points + Sum of all finishing points
Example: Jane Doe competes in 4 tourmanets and finishes in the following:
Tourney 1 - 7th place (15 pts earned)
Tourney 2 - 2nd place (70 pts earned)
Tourney 3 - last place (7 points earned)
Tourney 4 - 8th place (7 points earned)
Total points = 6 points (bonus for 4 tourneys) + 15 + 70 + 7 + 7 = 105

Rules of Texas Hold 'Em:
Three community cards are then dealt face up in the center of the table and another betting round takes place beginning with the player to the left of the dealer button. Another card is dealt face up followed by a round of betting. The fifth and last card is dealt face up and a final round of betting takes place.
Players remaining in the hand will then show their cards and the winning poker hand will be awarded the pot. Any combination of hole cards and community cards may be used to make the best five-card poker hand.
